"Best Place to stay in la - Home away from Home"
The house is beautiful & located in a safe, quite neighborhood that's close to everything. It's elegantly decorated and you will feel like you are in your own home. It's fully equipped and you will have all that you need. Amazing showers, spacious rooms, good quality linens and towels, delicious food for breakfast and plenty of street parking available.
It's even prettier than the pictures. Marilyn & Gary answered all the questions that I had prior to the trip and during the trip they were also available.
I cannot wait to stay here again.

"Very special and comfortable!"
We chose the apartment because of the pictures but even then we were amazed at how spacious, cozy and so full of character it was when we walked in. Marilyn was very helpful in leaving us a parking card, tasty breakfast supplies, an extra mattress. Personally I loved the books, curling up with one of them in the living room, the very special art artifacts and pictures on the walls. Each nook in the house has a special touch to it. The bedrooms were grand and very comfortable, the bathroom incredible, the kitchen well equipped... The neighborhood felt very safe and was conveniently located with easy access to everything we wanted to visit. This apartment in la was one of our best memories from our trip to California!

"Absolutely fabulous"
Wow what a gorgeous place to stay, on entering the property it was everything as described on the website, really lovely decor and felt so homely and relaxing. Rooms were all spacious and tidy, each bedroom had there own walk-in closet and bathroom. Marilyn had left quite a good selection of breakfast treats more than what we was expecting arranging from 3 types of cereals, orange juice fresh fruit, English muffins and different coffee's which was wonderful made the stay more enjoyable as we didn't need to think of going to the supermarkets when we got there. The location of the apartment is excellent very central to the places we wanted to visit Santa Monica Beach, Beverly Hills, and just a short walk down the street is La Brae Tar Pits. Street parking wasn't a problem and Marilyn was kind enough to leave a note where the parking ticket could be found. We will definitely come back if we return to la and highly recommended. Good value for money. Thank you to Marilyn for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

"Marilyn's spacious flat was the perfect home and office for us"
We visit la frequently for long-ish stays to spend time with our daughter, but we must also continue working (we are architects) during these trips. Marilyn's flat is large, quiet, energetically and uniquely decorated (the antithesis of generic corporate hotel decor), and it provided the perfect creative environment for us to accomplish more and better work than we could have imagined. The eat-in kitchen is huge and well-equipped, so we enjoyed the luxury of home cooking. At the same time, the location is perfect for walks to LACMA, all sorts of nearby restaurants (including the Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax), as well as work-related businesses. We used the beautiful dining room as our office -- it has a large table (our communal desk), a wall of built-in storage to hide our work, and French doors to the front garden. We also used the dining and living rooms to host a dinner for a number of our former architecture students (from Notre Dame). The flat is spotless, the handsome queen-size bed was wonderfully comfortable (we slept in only one, but the 2nd queen bed looks as comfortable), and there is abundant art and reading material. Two bathrooms are a luxury, and the master bath still has its 1920's Spanish Eclectic tile. We can imagine this could be a perfect rental for families or for two couples -- each bedroom is very large (one has a big! walk-in closet), and each has a direct link to a bathroom. Marilyn lives above and is available and responsive, but she does not hover and respects the privacy of guests. Parking was never an issue, and the neighborhood is great for walking. (Walkscore = 85) We have made reservations to stay (and work!) there for another two weeks this summer.

"Very comfortable family home, great location"
The home is very comfortable, and very conveniently located - walking distance to the La Brea tar pits and Wilshire Boulevard, convenient drive to LA's many tourist attractions. Marilyn was very helpful in arranging our booking, and the breakfast supplies were great - set us up each morning for a full day of tourist activities! Highly recommended for one or two couples or families of four.

"Best Value in LA"
This apartment was excellent. Very close to everything from Santa Monica to Hollywood. Also easy to get to Universal and Disney with a car. Accomodation was very comfortable and the breakfast goodies left by Marilyn added to the enjoyment and value for money. Highly recommended.

"Location, Space & Comfort---a great package"
Everything is as it's advertised---no surprises. It really is huge, well equipped, filled with thoughtful touches, extremely clean and in a fantastic location. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet and its own bath---great when travelling with grandma and a toddler. Marilyn even provided a Pack 'N Play with toddler mattress, so it was one less thing to haul to LA. The fridge was stocked with our requests and there were plenty of helpful instruction notes to answer question on how to operate appliances, etc. I had a few questions and Marilyn either called or texted me almost immediately with an answer. We'll definitely stay here again when we travel to la again.

"When we travel as a family we almost always rent apartments/homes, finding it a nicer way to live while on the road. This means that we have a number of experiences to measure this against. This apartment is one of the nicest that we have ever stayed in-- meticulously clean, and touchingly thoughtful, from the little explanatory notes you find around the house, to the special foods that Marilyn leaves in the refrigerator for your breakfasts-- in our case, organic 1% milk and gala apples were among the specific requests she took time to honor. My children were especially charmed by the tiny jars of honey and jam lining the refrigerator shelves. This is a loving, and lovely home, close to everything, and well worth the visit. We will definitely come back if and when we return to LA."

"'Bed and You Fix Breakfast' was one of the best bed and breakfast inns that I've used and I've been to some of the best throughout the Eastern seaboard and the Southwest United States. Not only was the owner, Marilyn, a gracious hostess in her treatment of me and my family, the space was serene and warm, filled with gorgeous artwork, and centrally located near Museum Row. I have to mention the sheer spaciousness of the unit is unparalleled, the rental is HUGE. I highly recommend Bed and You Fix Breakfast to anyone looking for a home away from home experience."
